The purposes of the Global Conference on Energy Sustainability are to

- define research necessities
- present the recent technological advancements
- facilitate implementation actions of energy-saving technologies into industry
- discuss the needs and incentives of governments and associated organizations
- discuss internationally coordinated strategies

To combine the world's technological and scientific knowledge in this field, this conference is primarily sponsored by the chemical engineering societies of the U.S. (AIChE) and Germany (DECHEMA), and endorsed by Japan's SECJ.
